4th of July

I am terribly sorry for not posting in forever! I had finals for the past few weeks (ew) but now it's finally summer!

Trend Alert: Daisies

Yes, I know, another "Trend Alert". I just want to keep you guys up to date with the latest fashion trends!

So, let's talk daisies. 

LF especially has been all over them. 

Shirts, shorts and even sunglasses! What I love about daisies is that they also are such a good way to transition from spring to summer!

All of the daisy outfits below are from LF!

These shorts are so simple so you can wear them with any top.

The sunglasses are so cool and fun for summer! The top is kind of busy, but with solid bottoms, anyone can totally pull it off!

Love this tank! It comes so many different colors too!

Of course though, LF is not the only place that has daisy pieces. I just thought they had the biggest selection.

Trend Alert: Pineapples

Yes, I know. I'm just a surprised as you are. Pineapples?! What am I talking about?! 
I don't really know. What I do know is that every where I turn there seems to be some type of clothing with a pineapple on it. New trend? I think so!
Now that I think about it, pineapple prints are kind of fun and really summer-y! I don't think I would ever where something covered in pineapples! I guess you never know.

Prom 2013

I hope you didn't think you would be seeing pictures of my prom dress...because you won't.
Unfortunately this year I'm too young to go to prom but that's not to say I haven't been obsessing over prom dresses!
My two favorite dresses are these two Sherri Hill Spring 2013 dresses-

I especially love that dusty rose pink color of the second dress. Both of them are so simple yet so elegant!

Sweaters Over Dresses

One of my favorite ways to wear casual dresses is by throwing open knit sweaters over them!
They keep you warm, but you can still show off the dress! Sweaters also make dresses more school appropriate because it totally dresses them down! My favorite places to get sweaters to go with dresses is Brandy Melville since they have so many thin sweaters! 
Throw own some Converse or gladiators for shoes and you have a casual, practical outfit!

Flannels

Sorry for not posting in forever! Things have been crazy with finals coming up!

Anyways, let's talk flannels. 

Not even kidding, I saw at least 10 girls wearing them today; so I guess you could say they're popular. I guess it's because you really can find them anywhere; Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and plenty of other stores. They even make ones with studs, rhinestones and all types of  designs. 

Flannels are such an essential in my wardrobe! I love the vibe they give off- laid-back yet edgy without trying too hard. 

Flannels are also so perfect for layering. You can throw them over any tee or tank for when it's chilly out. When you feel like taking them off, they look so cute tied around your waist! Flannels go with basically any shoes. Personally I like to wear them with high top Converse or black combat boots. If you feel like adding some accessories though a long necklace or a beanie add to the relaxed feel of the outfit. Pair the flannel with some high waisted denim shorts and BAM! You have an adorable, grunge-y and casual outfit!

Combat Boots

These are not my boots as much as I wish they were! I'm definitely in need of a new pair of combat boots. I'm thinking of getting the Steve Madden Troopas. They go with everything and never go out of style. They're so well made but I don't know if it's worth it to get them now since it's almost sumer. I mean I could save them for next fall...considering I bought a sweater today also for next year.

Most Wanted Sunglasses

They have such a retro vibe yet they're so trendy! Urban Outfitters have some really cute affordable ones that I may need to snag before they sell out, which I'm sure they will. 

I just don't know how much longer I can live without having a pair of round sunglasses!

It's such a different way to put you're hair in bun and it's so cute! I just wish I knew how to do it...

LA Bones

Got this hat today from Brandy Melville...even though it's the middle of spring.

It's not warm here, but it's definitely not knit hat weather. 

Whatever, it caught my eye so I grabbed it. I simply could not put it down, despite the fact that I probably won't be able to wear it till next fall. Plus, it was so cheap! I was just like how can I not? So, yes, I bought a knit beanie in the middle of spring. 

Since it's barely getting into the 60s here, it's not that warm so I really could still wear it with some leggings and a tee.

Brandy also has a ring, and a few shirts, with same "LA" on it. I didn't get them though; I thought it might be a little overkill. Anyways, I've seen so many people with this hat, but whatever!

So if you’ve been thinking about getting this hat, stop thinking and get it (it's amazing).

Converse

Off centered much? Oops! 

Guess what I got! New high tops! Yay!

I kind of, maybe, sorta live in Converse. What I love so much about these particular ones is that they literally go with every outfit. Okay, maybe not every outfit, but still a lot. I love throwing them on for school. They also look adorable with high waisted shorts, not that the weather will allow that type of outfit yet, but still.

I'm thinking about putting studs on them, but I'm not sure. I really like the studded ones from Free People, and the ones that Kylie Jenner has, but I don't think mine would nearly come out as well! What do you guys think? Should I stud them? (My pair is above)

Ripped Leggings

I saw this picture on Tumblr and it made me think about how much I need a pair of ripped-up leggings. I've been wanting a pair for the longest time, and I know exactly wear to get them (Urban), so I literally have no idea why I still don't have them. It's about time.

Anyways, ripped leggings are so cool. They're perfect for any season so you can easily justify wearing them every day of the year! ;)

The most popular type that I've seen, and my favorite, has been with the rips along the side, the whole way down. They are so cool!

Another thing that's so great about these leggings is that even though they may not seem it, they actually are easy to style. I mean technically they are just black leggings. You can really wear any top without totally clashing. Even if you wear a printed or graphic tee it still won't completely take away from the leggings!

Well, if you're not so into the idea of buying a pair, it's so easy to do it yourself! If you guys want I can do a post on how to make your own, just let me know in the comments if you would like me to!

Oh and those shoes are kinda amazing.

Mila Kunis

Basically if you can look this good wearing a plain white tee and denim shorts do it.

In all seriousness though, I think Mila Kunis looks so stunning in this picture. Not a lot of makeup, hair pulled back and obviously a basic outfit. This is just a perfect example natural beauty.

Best Dressed: MTV Movie Awards 2013

So, the MTV Awards were on a few nights ago and it was amazing! Of course my favorite part though was seeing what everyone was wearing.
The only person who was wearing something  I couldn't stop thinking about was Emma Watson. She looked incredible. 

Let's start off with the colors. Black, white and a few shades of dark blue. That's all the dress needed but it was still so eye catching. I absolutely love the top of the dress. It's different, but it works, it really works. Emma also went totally jewelry-less (except for a few small rings), which was a smart move. Without any statement jewelry all attention can be focused on the dress, which it needs to be. Another way she made sure all attention was on the dress was by pulling back her hair and wearing neutral makeup. The whole dress has an overall modern and chic feel. It's so sophisticated yet so trendy.

Turquoise Nails

Just got my nails done! How cute is this color? It's called "In the Cab-ana" by essie. It's a bright turquoise that is so perfect for spring. Maybe now I can pretend it's warm out. 

I don't know about you guys, but I am so ready for summer. I. Need. Warm. Weather. Now.

Trend Alert: Overalls

Are overalls coming back? I can't exactly decide if I love this trend or hate it. 

Free People has a ton, surprise surprise. The acid wash pair shown above are from NastyGal. I can't really find another way to wear them except with a white tank underneath. Any ideas? Maybe a printed tank or bandeau? Hmmm...I'll have to get back to you guys on that.

Since Coachella is currently going on right now, (and no, unfortunately I am not there) my Instagram has been overflowing with pictures of some amazing outfits that have all given me some inspiration. 

Also, I need to post more often. And I will.

Love 21 Spring Collection

Love 21 recently came out with their spring collection! 

The pieces are pastel colored and have a nature twist to them. 

Below are some of my favorite pieces!

This chiffon, high-low skirt is so simple yet it can go with so many different things. 

These sandals have a bit of a wedge but they're not too high, so they're perfect! They have cutouts and they have two rows of studded detailing on the front.

Festival

It's that time of year again...the time where every single one of my favorite stores comes out with their incredible music festival collections. That is, as I set behind my computer screen admiring every piece in pure jealousy. As much as I wish I could, I'm not going to a music festival but maybe next year!

Typically when I think of music festival attire I instantly think bohemian, summer-y chic. Flower headbands, high-waisted denim shorts, crocheted tops and anything with tribal print are the go-to festival items.

Anyways, below are some of my favorite pieces from festival collections, so hopefully if you're going to a festival and you're not sure what to wear, you'll get some inspiration. Enjoy!

I was pleasantly surprised with Forever 21. They had the most amazing selection of shorts!

If you prefer to wear dresses, I would definitely go for white since it's so in right now! They also had this adorable floral dress with this amazing back!
